Episode Info:Episode #9F03 Original Airdate: November 3 1992 Writer: John Swartzwelder Director: Rich Moore Guest Voice: Marcia Wallace Framegrabs: N/A Chalk Board Gag: I WILL NOT BURY THE NEW KID Storyline: The episode starts at the Springfield Elementary Parent/Teacher Night. As expected, Lisa is doing great, and Homer is being praised for raising such a gifted child. However, in Mrs Krabappel's class, all's not good. It seems that due to lack of firm punishment, Bart has problems with being able to behave. Marge and Homer agree that if they start handling it now, Bart could become the next Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. At first Homer is unable to comply, finding it hard to stay mad at Bart. But when Bart fails to keep a close eye on Maggie, and she somehow gets hold of the Simpson's car, and drives it around Springfield. This time he's in for it. Homer makes Bart pay, big. He refuses to let him see the Itchy and Scratchy Movie...ever. Bart tries to get out of the punishment, but no matter how bad he whines, Homer doesn't crack. In the ending scenes, we see into the future, Bart now being the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Homer agrees that the punishment seems to have worked, and accompnaies Bart into to the cinema to watch the film. Memorable Conversations: Marge: We'll bring back dinner. Lisa: What are we gunna have? Homer: Well that depends on what your teachers say. If you're good..pizza. If you've been bad...err...let's see...poison. Lisa: What if one of us has been good and one of us has been bad? Bart: Poison Pizza? Homer: Oh no, I'm not making two stops! Bart: Over the lips, and past the gums, look out dentures, here I come! *Grabs Grandpa's teeth and places them into his own mouth* Lisa: Eww! Homer: Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. What great men he would join: Josh Marshall, Charles Evan Hughes, Warren Burger...Mmm, burger. Marge: And if he doesn't? Mrs Krabappel: Who knows how far he will sink... *Marge's imagination* Announcer: All right, ladies! Prepare to be blown away by Bang-Bang Bart! *A future Bart comes out onto a stage with just a pair of cowboy boots and some black underpants. He is firing two fake pistols* Women: Boo! You're fat! Bart: Just more of me to love, honey! Kent Brockman: Tonight, on Eye on Springfield, we meet a man who has been hiccupping for 45 years. Hiccupper: *Hiccup* Kill Me *Hiccup* Kill Me. Homer: Bart, didn't I ask you to watch Maggie? Bart: Sounds like something you'd say. *Looks around* Hey, where is she? *Maggie drives down the street in the Simspsons's car* Chief Wiggum: Oh, isn't that cute. A baby driving a car. And look, there's a dog driving a bus. Bart: Dad, you gotta let me see that movie. Can't you just give me a spanking? *Pulls his shorts down, showing his butt* Come on, go nuts! Homer: Don't you point that thing at me! Homer: You know, when I was a boy, I really wanted a catchers mitt, but my dad wouldn't get it for me. So I held my breath until I passed out and banged my head on the coffee table. The doctor thought I might have brain damage. Bart: Dad, what's the point of this story? Homer: I like stories. Homer: You're welcome to watch anything you want on TV. Bart: TV sucks! Homer: *Angry* I know you're upset right now, so I'll pretend you didn't say that. Homer: I can't let that happen..I won't let that happen and I can't let that happen! Notes: The banner outside the school reads: Parent Teacher Night - Lets Share The Blame. Things included in Barts box are: a metal chain, a slingshot, a skull, a bone and a Krusty Doll/knife. Bart is guilty of both synthesising a laxative out of peas and carrots and replacing mrs Krabappel's birth control pills with Tic Tacs. The Itchy and Scratchy movie contains only 53% new footage. The first Itchy and Scratchy episode was called 'That Happy Cat' and only featured Scratchy. Itchy appears in an episode called 'Steamboat Itchy' a cartoon similar to Mickey Mouse's bedut cartoon, 'Steamboat Willie'. In one episode of Itchy and Scratchy, they team up, to kill- Hitler. The Itchy kills Scratchy as well. Lisa claims that the film gave cameos to both Dustin Hoffman and Michael Jackson, but they didn't give their names. Sound familiar? |
