Storyline:

This episode starts with Homer watching TV. He and Marge see Ned walk past the window, who seems quite 'slanted'. This is because the Simpsons house is sinking, to one side. They call in a repairman, who says the job will cost $8500. How will they be able to afford it?

Meanwhile, a job opening has just appeared at SNPP. Marge, with a 'slightly' untre resume, receives the job, and is now working along with Homer at the plant. But all too soon, Mr Burns falls in love with her, and is soon promoting her and giving her raises. He tries to get her on a date, even capturing Tom Jones to make him play for them. But when Burns finds out that she is married, he automatically fires her. At school, Bart is having to deal with a 'boy who cried wolf' situation - having to fight off an actual wolf after lieing about feeling sick.

The Simpsons visit Lionel Hutz, who beleives they have a great chance of winning. That is however, until Mr Burns reveals his personal army of lawyers. All hope seems lost, until Homer speaks out for Marge. Mr Burns realises Homer loves her too, and suggests they spend the night on the date Mr Burns had planned for himself and Marge.

Memorable Conversations:

Bart: Behold the slanty shanty! See the twisted creatures that dwell within. Meet Cue Ball, the man with no hair! *Points at Homer*
Woman: He's hideous!

Marge: We need the money, and my life is pretty boring. Last week, some Jehovah's Witnesses came to the door, and I wouldn't let them leave. They snuck away when I went to get lemonade.

Homer: Now Marge, just remember, if something goes wrong at the plant, blame the guy who can't speak English..ah, Tibor, how many times have you saved my butt?

Homer: You can't take our donuts!
*Lenny jumps at the Donut Man, only for him to take a hit with a large metal chain*
Donut Guy: Anyone else wanna be a hero?

Mrs Krabappel: So Bart, how are you feeling?
Bart: *Flips off the wall* Can't complain.
Mrs Krabappel: Well , you're ready for your makeup test.
Bart: *Clutches Stomach* Ohh, my ovaries!

Homer: Ohh...
Marge: Homie, what's wrong?
Homer: I'm used to seeing people promoted ahead of me: friends, co-workers, Tibor. I never thought it'd be my own wife.

Willie: Hey Wolfie! Put down that Hors D'Oeurve! It's time for the main coruse! *Grapples with wolf* Back to class laddy, nothing to see here!

Mr Burns: Homer, I want you to show this woman the time of your life.
Homer: Gotcha! Marge, we're getting a drive through, then we're doing it twice!

Notes:

Marge's resume only includes one previous job - Homemaker: 1980 - present. However, she has actually worked at a Burger Bar before, where Homer propsoed to her.

Mr Burns first imagination of Homer is a handsome, long haired, well dressed, Italian. Little does he know.

Grampa's book on Child Illnesses (The Guide to Infantile Distress) includes some rather strange conditons: Dropsy, the Grippe, Scofula, The Vapors, Jungle Rot, Dandy Fever, Poor Man's Gout, Housemaid's Knee, Climatic Bubo, the Stagger and Dum Dum Fever.
