Differences in Season One from Others Seasons
The drawing of the Simpsons season one shows are extremely crude compared to other seasons. Gradient was always use on walls and backgrounds, but it really looks wierd in the Simpsons show. The season one episode openings are also different from the other seasons, some parts were replaced with characters that were never in the show. Here are some examples of the differences in the opening of season one episodes:
Take a look at the clouds, they are only white puffs with no outline. There is also a lot less clouds in episode one openings.
Notice something different? This is an example of gradient used in the Simpsons show, you don't like it do you?
This is Bart writing on the chalkboard, did you sight that he is writing in italics? (Copying sentences on the board with italic? Sounds wierd, I guess that's why they changed it.)
Look at the person on the right hand side, it is an "unknown" character (Who is it really?) eating a sandwich with a pair of pliers. In the later seasons, it is Mr. Burns and Smithers studying the blueprint of the plant.
This scene is also in the old one, but this time Bart turns his head and looks at the TV instead of going through Mrs. Lovejoy, Apu with his dog, Moe in front of his bar, Barney Gumble, an unknown character, Bleeding Gums Murphy and Chief Wiggum.
Removed from later season episode openings, is Bart taking away the Bus Stop sign, so the bus doesn't stop and the people standing in line waiting for the bus run and chases it.
This is the bus that did not stop because the bus stop sign was taken away by Bart. The advertisement says: Can't get enough of Duff.
The people chasing the bus hoping that it will stop and let them in.
This scene is deleted from the later seasons as well. It shows Lisa arriving home with her books and saxaphone.
THE original couch gag, where nothing happens. Look at the walls, another example of gradient used in season one.
Seems like the Simpsons replaced their old brown television set with a new purple/blue one that comes with a video recorder!
